Richard Strauss created his radiant Metamorphosen in 1945 to process his grief after what he called “the most terrible period of mankind.” MVM presents this gorgeous music together with an arrangement of the beloved Pastoral Symphony by Beethoven’s contemporary Michael Gotthard Fischer.
